Most people have no idea what God’s dream is. They are too caught up with their own dreams and desires to have any clue about what God’s dreams and desires are.

To find God’s dream, you have to search for it. He will only reveal it to those who look for it. He hid it somewhere near the middle of the Bible in the Book of Jeremiah, chapter 33, verse 9, which reads:

Then this city will bring Me renown, joy, praise and honor before all nations on earth that hear of all the good things I do for it; and they will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it.

God’s dream is to have a community of believers who are 100% dedicated to becoming the people He intended them to be while making as many disciples for His kingdom as possible. God, in return, will pour out His divine prosperity and peace on these people, to such a degree that people around the world will hear of this awesome prosperity and peace and will know it came from God. They will know it came from God because all the people in this community of believers prospered far beyond their natural ability.

God’s dream actually began to materialize during the time of Solomon. It started with his father, King David, who is known as a man after God’s own heart. David was close to the Lord since his youth. He always prayed, and believed that God would prosper him, and the Lord did so. But after David had achieved all his dreams and desires, he began to focus on the Lord’s desires. David lived in a palace, but the LORD lived in a small box called “The Ark of the Covenant”. David began to realize that the God of the universe should have a home to live in that was better than his. In fact, God should have the best home in the universe.

David decided to spend the rest of his life, spending all his time and money, fulfilling the desires of God’s heart. God never asked David to do this, but what a principle he was about to discover! David gave hundreds of millions of dollars of his own money to get the project started. He inspired the people of his kingdom to do the same. The actual building of the Temple began after Solomon took over as king, as God had directed. Many of God’s people put aside their differences, religious and otherwise, because now they were united by a large and exciting vision. People from all over Jerusalem were donating their money, as well as their time, to build God a beautiful temple.

As the people focused on fulfilling God’s desires, a strange thing began to happen. Everything they touched began to turn to gold. Even though they were spending less time at their businesses (because of taking out time to volunteer at the Temple), their businesses began to experience explosive growth. Because of King Solomon’s leadership in building God’s Temple, Jerusalem became the richest city on earth. As we read in 1 Kings 10:27:

The king made silver and gold as common in Jerusalem as stones.

Not only did Jerusalem become the richest city on earth, but Solomon became the richest king on earth. As stated in 2 Ch 9:22-24:

King Solomon was greater in riches and wisdom than all the other kings of the earth. All the kings of the earth sought audience with Solomon to hear the wisdom God had put in his heart.

Year after year, everyone who came brought a gift - articles of silver and gold, and robes, weapons and spices, and horses and mules.

God wants to prosper you, and when He does, people will track you down to find out how you became so prosperous. When they do, you can lead them to the LORD by telling them that God prospered you as you prospered His business.

Today, God no longer desires to live in buildings made with brick and mortar. His desire is to live in the hearts of men. How blessed will be the people who make their first priority to build God the type of temple He is looking for; a temple made out of living stones (1 Peter 2:5).

What the church has failed to understand is that every born again believer is called to work for God in building this temple. God is not asking us to work for free. He is a generous Employer when we build the way He has instructed us to.

The Apostle Peter wrote to all born again believers and told them that they were called to be apart of the holy, royal priesthood (see 1 Peter 2:5 & 9). A priest is a paid employee of God. Priests were the highest paid people in the Jewish society. God never asked any priest to work for free.

Working for God is the highest paying profession in the world when done correctly. God spoke to you and I in the Book of Jeremiah when He said:

I (God) will satisfy the priests with abundance…(31:14)

Does your life lack the abundance JESUS came to give (John 10:10)? Maybe it’s because you haven’t taken on your role as a priest yet!!!

God spoke to us through Isaiah as well. Do you have ears to hear??? Here is the message God wants you to know will happen to you once you follow His orders to take up your priestly duties. Are you ready? Are you sure??? Okay, here it is:

And YOU will be called priests of the Lord, YOU will be named ministers of our God. YOU will feed on the wealth of the nations, and in their riches YOU will boast. Isaiah 61:6

Go back and see how many times God used the word “YOU.” HE’S TALKING TO YOU!!! CAN HE BE ANY MORE CLEAR???

As you become on fire for serving the LORD and expanding His kingdom here on earth, and get others to do the same, God’s dream will come true. You will cause His name to be magnified to all people on earth as they see how divinely prosperous you and your group are. You’ll not only be extremely compensated in this life, but for all eternity as well. How can you beat a deal like that???
